Early Family Engagement
Looking for a more flexible volunteer opportunity at CASA? Our Early Family Engagement (EFE) program is the first point of contact for families in the days immediately following CASA’s appointment to a case, and we’re looking for volunteers to support it. In this fast-paced role, EFE volunteers spend 1–2 weeks on a case making initial contacts with children and families, engaging as many relatives and community supports as possible, and representing CASA at the initial court hearing. Great EFE volunteers have strong engagement and assessment skills, work with a sense of urgency, enjoy diving into new cases, document their work thoroughly, and communicate well with family members and other legal parties. EFE volunteers are required to work a minimum of 6 EFE cases per year. If you’d like to become a member of the EFE team of volunteers, please attend to learn more!
