Meet the Volunteer Engagement and Retention Specialist
Welcome! My name is Jocelyn Rodgers, and I'm the Volunteer Engagement and Retention Specialist - in other words, your point of contact while you're on leave. Take a look at the resources below, and if I can help answer any questions, don't hesitate to reach out!
Ways to Engage
Even while you're on leave, there are plenty of ways to stay engaged with your CASA community!
- Join the CASA Volunteer Facebook Group to connect with other advocates and stay up-to-date about CASA happenings.
- Become a Volunteer Ambassador! Volunteer ambassadors join our recruiter out in the community speaking with prospective volunteers about their volunteer experience.
Continuing Education
Being on leave is a great time to get caught up on your continuing education hours. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to meet those hours!
- All volunteers are required to complete 12 hours of continuing education per year
- Join CASA for an upcoming Continuing Education session
- Check out our Continuing Education FAQs for answers to commonly asked questions
Remember to log your hours in your Salesforce account. Need help? Reach out to Cindy for Salesforce-related questions.
Ready to return?
Ready to return for another case, or wondering what to expect when you are? Check out the timeline below! If you need to update your estimated return date, or if you are ready to return sooner than expected, let Jocelyn know.
Volunteer Reassignment Process
A member from the retention team will reach out via email, phone, and text to see if you are ready for a new case.
**If ready process will proceed ** If you are not ready to return by this date you can always extend.
Returning volunteers will be asked to fill out a new case matching form and may be asked to provide additional documentation. EX: auto insurance, driver's license or signature updates.
Once all documentation has been collected, the retention team will work to get you matched to a case based on case your matching form.
4. Case Matched & Approved
Once you have been matched and approved for a case the retention team will call you to discuss the case. You will be connected with your supervisor through email.
